Las Vegas, Nevada (April 13, 2018)—Las Vegas Cyclery (LVC) and Jared Fisher, Republican candidate for governor of Nevada will host a morning mixer and group green ride to GREENFest on Saturday, April 21, from 7 to 9 a.m. at Las Vegas Cyclery (10575 Discovery Dr.). The group green ride is open to energy efficient cars and bicycles; it leaves LVC at 9 a.m. The procession showcases Nevadans’ commitment to clean transportation; it concludes at GREENFest in Downtown Summerlin (1980 Festival Plaza Dr.).
Starting at 7 a.m., attendees will enjoy complimentary coffee and bagels and can talk to Fisher about Nevada’s pressing environmental and renewable energy issues, among other topics, and tour LVC’s energy efficient LEED Platinum, Net Zero building. This is a free and family-friendly event that is open to the public.
“The new generation of Republican cares about our environment. It’s time to move past the rhetoric and look at natural energy and the environment as bipartisan issues. They are primary economic drivers for our state’s economy,” says Fisher, a life-long registered Republican who has been named Best Green Business Owner by Las Vegas Business Press.
“Nevada has abundant energy resources, and yet we purchase 70 percent of our energy from other states. This is unacceptable. Leveraging our wind and solar opportunities will strengthen Nevada’s economy and job market with revenue from selling excess power. GREENFest is an environment friendly festival with exhibitor booths that will present various opportunities and resources for attendees to learn how to become more sustainable, energy conscious and improve one’s carbon footprint.
